When the National Theatre of Wales and Michael Sheen joined forces to create the play The Passion, Stage Sound Services was chosen by the sound designer, Mike Beer, to provide sound reinforcement for the show. With the play being set in over 9 different venue's a vast amount of equipment and logistical planning was required, we at stage sound services worked along side Mike to come up with solutions that were both practical and would result in top quality sound. The performance received high acclaim from some the country's top newspapers and art's journals. 
The Passion was a three-day non-stop production which started on the afternoon of Good Friday and ended on Easter Sunday evening. Across the weekend, there where programmed events which run only once, but around these key events, there was constant unscheduled activity. Audiences could choose to attend one, some, or all of the weekend events, and caught some unexpected surprises.
The cast included: Matthew Aubrey, Nigel Barrett, Jordan Bernarde, Di Botcher, Darren Lawrence, John-Paul Macleod, Rhys Matthews, Francine Morgan, Kristian Phillips, Kyle Rees, Michael Sheen, Hywel Simons, David Rees Talbot, Gerald Tyler and Matthew Woodyatt. More than 1,000 local volunteer cast members also performed in the production.
