End of the Rainbow

SSS recently supplied the sound equipment for Gareth Owen's Sound Design for the musical drama End of the Rainbow at the Derngate Theatre, Northampton.
This was the first occasion SSS have worked with Gareth Owen since he became an independent Sound Designer. Directed by the critically acclaimed, Olivier award-winning director Terry Johnson (La Cage aux Folles, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice), End Of The Rainbow was a savagely funny musical drama. Brilliantly weaving the humour and heartbreak of the final months of Garland´s life with her most memorable songs.
The production starred two-time Olivier award-winner Tracie Bennett (La Cage aux Folles, Hairspray) as the iconic star.The sound system comprised of a selection of d&b loud speakers, a Digico SD8 sound console, Trantec S6000 radio microphones as we as drum audix microphones purchased to meet Gareth's preferred specification.
